The Protest

Evil_Haruo:The insignificant sims were at City Hall protesting the fact that they were getting bombarded by rocks from space. Did they really think that they were going to do something by chanting, "WE HATE ROCKS! BAN THE ROCKS!" I guess they're more stupid than I thought. Like they're going to stop the meteors by chanting. Do they not remember Newton's First Law of Inertia? An object at rest will stay at rest and an object once in motion will stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Do these Sims think that a piece of paper banning rocks will stop a meteor that is travelling tens of thousands of miles per second?

I think not...

No chance in Hel.

They had about as much chance at stopping a meteor as a snowball staying frozen in an Easy-Bake oven. I don't think holding their arms over their heads would do much good either.

Central Park got hit again and Beau Andrews died this time. Too bad, so sad.

I cycled home after collecting the space-rocks to add to our saleable collection and cooked dinner after getting home and analyzing the rocks which were pretty decent in terms of §. Some were in the order of §11K.

I decided that first order of the day in the morning was to scare the living pee out of Phil which provided me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Then I decided to rant on the stupidity of Sims...

Ranting is good for the soul. It doesn't do anyone any good to keep things pent up, because it stresses you out and I don't know about you, but I don't like being stressed out. On top of that it lets people know just how you feel about certain things...and for certain people on the receiving end of that rant, it keeps them on their toes. If they feel stressed about that. Not my problem.

Greed

"Well, you never know when something will drop out of the sky and land on your head" Mom told me that a long time ago when she was busy "trying to make a man" out of me by beating me. Well, anyways...I go into the store to go buy something and just then, by chance just as the door closes, meteors slam into the area where I was standing not just a few seconds before. Too bad, didn't get me; I'm still breathing, gotta try harder next time.

I should have remembered that I had targeted the store, but well, you know, other things were on my mind. Forgetting ticked me off so much I had to get on my podium and rant about it.

May not have done much, but it made me feel better.

After I ranted, I went home. But ended up having to witness some more disgusting feel-good stuff from Phil and Catherine. Now how many meteors did I divert anyways?

Catherine still hasn't learned to not scare people. She went and scared Heather, who nearly jumped out of her skin. I may have to drop a rock on Catherine to teach her a lesson. But I need the rent money (evidently her job is as an athlete (a fan at this point) so she is doing something at least).

Have you ever heard of a term called "bolt out of the blue". Well, Phil got nailed by one...again. Evidently he's a good conductor. Maybe instead of the science field in which he is currently, he could be in the music field. Ha ha ha...maybe he could concentrate on the music of...oh...Scheidt*...which was incidentally what he said when he got hit by lightning.

It would be an electrifying performance. *snicker*.

In the meantime, Sunset Valley got hit by yet another meteor.

so...I had to go and collect those meteors.

Not to mention, Cornelia Goth got hit by a bolt from the blue. Let's just say that it was quite a jolting experience.

I do have to say that the meteors certainly made us less prone to financial problems than we had when we first started living in Sunset Valley. Having money is great. The people who say that money doesn't solve your problems haven't been destitute to the point where you have to make a choice between eating or paying the bills. Yes, Evil_Haruo may be evil and greedy, but he knows his money-management. And when it comes down to survival... well...avarice knows no bounds.

Our new house may not be the biggest house in Sunset Valley, but it's ours and its satisfying enough...for now, at least until the Altos, Goths and Landgraabs are set in my sights.

Lives vs. Wealth

Morning had broken on Sunset Valley, with the pinkish hues of the sunrise on the horizon, but the peace and calm of the Valley was interrupted by...explosions. as several more meteors hit.

Maybe I had diverted too many meteors? Nawwwwww...Evil_Haruo is never wrong. This is entirely the right number of meteors to come crashing into Sunset Valley. The sims will suffer. They will suffer greatly. BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

The sims were absolutely terrified, however one didn't get away fast enough. If you're too busy dancing the "Duck and Cover" you're going to get flattened.

Looks like that's par for the course. The picnic area was full of sims wondering if they were in the sights of the next meteor to come crashing down.

...and it looked like yet another one wasn't able to get out of the way quick enough. Well, c'est la vie. Looks like the town may have to ease up on its immigration restrictions.

I went around and picked up all the meteors and so far the accumulated cost of those rocks has more than pulled us out of poverty. We are now worth around §200,000. Thank you space rocks...and we only had to trade a few citizens of Sunset Valley for that wealth. Do I sleep at night? Very well, thank you.
